Please see the minutes from our first General Body Meeting below. We have a lot of exciting events that we want to host, and we need people to take the lead on anything that has a XXX next to it. We will definitely need all hands for WAMI in March, so please email us if you’re interested in helping!
  • First General Body Meeting (2/5 at 4:30 p.m.): Event Ideas
    • Political burn out apathy – how to resist AND persist, activists need naps too; social media burnout; how to be a law student activist (Jared, Stephanie)
      • Panelists with jobs who’ve experienced burnout, how to manage school/politics, community activists working with lawyers, Keegan, 3Ls, mental health professional
    • FOIA Requests re: Yeshiva’s donors/expenses – luncheon letter-writing campaign (Anthony will draft) 
    • Big law lawyers that do pro bono work (Millbank, GT, etc.); Harvard protesting venable, DLP - forced arbitration can’t sue for sexual harassment (big law, social justice); Brian Farkas - arbitration issues (XXX)
    • Create an internal "List of Brilliant Minds” (XXX)
  • Week Against Mass Incarceration (3/4-10): “Mass Incarceration and the War on Drugs” https://www.nlg.org/wami/
