Dear Cardozo NLG Members:

Tomorrow, the Center for Rights and Justice is hosting a discussion on the lawsuit challenging Harvard’s admissions policies that we believe many of you may be interested in.

Cara McClellan, current Skadden Public Interest Fellow with the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. (LDF), and Rachel Kleinman, Senior Counsel at the NAACP LDF, will speak to the Cardozo community about affirmative action litigation and their involvement with Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. President and Fellows of Harvard College, which recently wrapped up in Boston. The NAACP LDF filed an amicus brief on behalf of 25 different student organizations arguing that the elimination of race in Harvard's college application process will lead to further discrimination towards applicants of color.

This event will be moderated by Professor Michelle Adams.

Lunch will be provided, RSVPs are not required.

Date: Monday, November 26, 2018

Time: Noon-1:30

Location: Room 1008

See below for invite.
