Good evening NLG Members,

This is a reminder that we will be hosting a Fireside Chat with Professor Yankah tomorrow at 12:15 p.m. in Room 303. Please join us for a discussion about the impact of race on criminal law, followed by a Q&A. We will be serving a falafel lunch.

On Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Room 206, come watch a practice moot of arguments for Edrei v. The City of New York. The case involves the NYPD's use of sound canons against Black Lives Matter protestors, including Cardozo NLG's own Keegan Stephan. This is a great opportunity for 1Ls to observe how attorneys prepare for an appellate oral argument before having to give their own arguments for Legal Writing.

Additionally, mark your calendars for April 14! We, along with NLG chapters at Brooklyn Law, Fordham and Pace, are planning a Critical Race Theory program that will thoroughly examine the 1L curriculum, administrative remedies, and the overall institution of law schools. If you are interested in helping us further develop this program, please reach out to Jordan at jcoy...@gmail.com

We hope to see you tomorrow and Tuesday!

In solidarity,
Cardozo National Lawyer's Guild Executive Board
