I purchased the recommended polar heart rate monitor (bluetooth).
However, I can't get Cardio trainer to recognize it. Any ideas?
Thanks

Which is your phone, and how did you try to pair the phone to the HRM?

I am also having problems with the HRM. I purchased the recommended
monitor. It will work for a week then won't read for three or four
days then work for one day. I don't know if its the monitor or the
phone, but I'm getting tired of it working when it wants to. I have
changed the battery, soaked it in cold water did everything but hack
into the motherboard :). Any help or ideas would be greatly
appreciative.

  Hi there,

I have been using Polar Bluetooth for almost 2 years now. I had some problems with it when using with an old Motorola Droid. But since september/2011, when I got a samsung galaxy s2, I´ve had no problem at all. I´ve also been using it with LG L3 E405 without problems.

  What I do is:

  1. I wet the sensor strap with running water
  2. I plug the transmitter onto the strap
  3. I turn on the Bluetooth on my phone
  4. I touch the "search devices", no matter if it´s been found before
  5. I start cardiotrainer and touch the "I have the device already" (or something like that)
  6. CT finds Polar Bluetooth

So far it´s been working great for me with cardiotrainer and runkeeper (I like using runkeeper because of the rich graph on their website).

The only problem is when it stops working in the middle of the exercise because it ran out of batteries.

  Cheers,

    Rodolfo
