For the past week, my GPS won't pick up when using cardio trainer. It
takes roughly 20-30 minutes to catch a signal. Its not overcast or
anything and it doesn't matter if its in the morning or evening. It
started a few updates ago. I have no problems with the GPS on my
other apps so I think its something with this app.

I have exactly the same problem on my G2X, what gives?

Mine is on a Droid 4, and I lost GPS about the 24th. I downloaded
Endomondo today, but I REALLY PREFER cardio trainer. WHAT HAPPENED?

Another really annoying problem I have now that I didn't have with my
previous Droid is that during a ride it will lose the signal and
completely screw up a ride.

I have screen shots if you'd like. Totally ruins the ride data, and of
course timing, distance and slips.

Just re-rode my last ride with My Tracks (what I was using before CT)
to see if it was going to have a problem, and guess what, NO PROBLEM.
Why are you folks ignoring this thread?

I think CT has been abandoned.

I'm really sorry to hear you guys are having serious problems with CT.  It still works fine on my HTC Rezound.

Have any of you tried to contact Noom more directly? Granted they used to be good about monitoring this forum, but this is technically a users group.

It's obvious their focus is on Noom weight loss app, but they're still around.  They should at least resolve major issues like this with CT.  I think you all have proven its an app issue and not your phones since other apps work fine.

This man speaks the truth. Just download Noom, even if you do not use
the other features of it the Cardio Trainer portion of it works
great.
If you still want to use CT then try a couple of apps that were
mentioned. i use GPS Status. Launch it hit the menu then select Manage
AGPS. Press reset and then repeat but this time press download. You
can also set it to autodownload in the settings.

I agree with Curt that resetting the AGPS cache w/ GPS Status is worth a try.
It solved an issue that some Rezound users had with jagged points adding distance in any tracking app not just CT. I think GPS Status is a handy app to have.

Hope you guys get it fixed or the Noom version works for you.  I've tried other apps, but CT remains my favorite overall.

I have been using GPS Status for almost a year. Usually resetting AGPS is not neccessary unless the GPS is taking more than a minute to lock.

I always use GPS Status to verify the the GPS has a lock. It is useful to separate problems with the GPS subsystem of the phone and problems with the tracker software. Some times the phone gets messed up if I forget to turn off the GPS after I get to work and it sits for hours w/ no GPS reception. Then a reboot is required.

I have a samsung epic 4g and I had constant problems with the GPS subsystem. Especially after the Gingerbread update last fall. That did break the GPS. So out of despiration I rooted my phone to install GPS fix and soon after CleanGB. I had no problems after that. Now it is pretty rare that it is a problem.

I downloaded GPS status too, it is still not consistant, however it does work 3 out of 4 times, so I"guess" I am OK with it., NO map, but deos track steps and time and distance. Sure wish they would fix this though!!!!

See that's the twisted thing, everything else on my GX2 works fine
with the GPS. Including GPS status, My Tracks, Geobeagle, Maps, C:Geo,
Navigation and more. Only Cardio trainer is having problems.
