The government in the UK has recently announced its plans to build a new
immigration detention centre near Gatwick airport. Such detention prisons
are a major part of the UK’s racist immigration system, where people are
locked up without having committed a crime. Together we can stop this one
being built!
From 19th-24th September 2007 people from South Wales, all over the UK and
beyond, will gather near Gatwick Airport for the first "No Border Camp" in
the UK, which will aim to stop the building of this new detention centre
and build resistance to migration controls.
On August 11th, 'No Borders South Wales' presents an afternoon of talks
from activists and asylum seekers, with films and food, to raise awareness
of the upcoming camp and share ideas and information on migration issues.
Anyone is welcome to come along to this free event to be held at the PAD
Social Centre, 118 Clifton Street, Adamsdown, Cardiff.

We hope to see you there
