Hello all,

Is anyone on this list playing with Node.js at the moment? Are you
doing anything interesting?

I've been experimenting with node for some time now and I'm thinking
of launching my first app which uses Node and the Express JS
framework.

All the best,

Ian

Hey hey,

I've been using it to power a Juggernaut server (pubsub / realtime
stuff), but not actively hacking on Node itself. I'm finding
Pusher.com to be easier to get going with and now that they're
offering private installs I might switch to it entirely.

Waiting for CloudFoundry to mature a bit for a plan to get a nice Node
& Ruby stack sorted out for easy deployment of experimental apps.

TBH with the kind of projects I'm working on I don't see any real
benefit in Node apart from the realtime stuff, I'm explicitly avoiding
using it for the sake of using it - so many wheel reinventions going
on with no real purpose or benefit (oo, another ORM|Templating lib|
NoSQL wrapper, but in JS, for Node! etc etc) :)

Yep, entirely agree. I've been experimenting with it for a couple of
twitter based apps, so realtime makes sense for me.

I'd seen you talking to the pusher guys....would be good to talk about
what you're up to, as I'm unsure what I'd get out of it.
