Hello all,

I thought I'd just send out a friendly reminder that this mailing list
is still in existence. What is everyone up to these days?

Ian, I had totally forgotten about this list... probably because I've never posted before.

Do people know about Cardiff web scene meet up tomorrow:
http://www.cardiffwebscene.com/events/cws-meet-up

Hope to see some of you there,

Graeme

Ha,

Thats ok Graeme, it's been a bit poor on activity over here.

I wasn't aware of that meetup no - but then I may have ignored it as I
get back after it starts...

Ho-hum,

Ian

Hi Ian

The list has been quiet, but some of us are busy.
If you're interested in the Geek Cluster meetings we have a website now...

We intend to have our February meeting soon.  We've just been discussing alternative venues & dates.
We have a poll on Doodle http://doodle.com/h3a59xz9tzmnau5t
as well as the discussion on http://geekcluster.org/

Hope you can come!

Howard (dorkomatic)

Hi Howard,

Apologies, you're right - that wasn't meant to be a derogatory
remark. I include myself in the busy list.

I've been unable to make the Geek Cluster meets due to my own busyness.

If nothing else, this list is also useful to find out about the other
community stuff that's happening - I'd totally missed the Geek Cluster thing
(have now tweeted it out from @CardiffWebScene).

I was hoping we'd avoid the cardiff webscene radar :(

Oh, sorry! I shall keep my nose out of it from now on.

It's only a personal opinion - I quite enjoy the lack of web people,
SEO consultants and marketing bods at the meetings.

Totally makes sense to me - different crowds with different interests.
Working with the web, I assume most 'web' people are 'geeks', but you're
right, there's a whole spectrum of both web people and geek types (I'm
picturing a fantastic Venn diagram in my head as I type this).
