A Severe Warning Against Anyone Who Supports 'ISIS' And A Message of Hope to everyone who is fearful of this Evil Group called 'ISIS', by Abu Farayhan Jamal bin Farayhan al-Harthi (hafidhahullaah 'ala as-Sunnah)

All praise is due to Allaah. We praise Him, seek His aid, and His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allaah from the evils of our souls and the evils of our actions. Whomsoever Allaah guides, none can misguide. And whomsoever Allaah allows to go astray, none can guide him. I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, Alone and without any partners, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger...

To proceed:

It is with sadness and tears that we see some of the deviant sects occupy or unlawfully seize inhabited areas. However, it is but with delight and tranquility that if you return - oh Sunni Muslim - to the words of the wise and the scholars, you will find that the (stature) of the deviant sects is of little importance and that they will never have a banner/flag nor leadership upon the Muslims.

What is of more stature is the speech of the leaders of the Messengers - Muhammad bin 'Abdullaah Together with this, we will present these statements in this assignment, and that which narrates the reality of the Khawaarij past and present. Did they, or will they have a state? Will the Ummah ever gather together under a Kharijee?

And with Allaah, I take aid.

Wahb ibn Munabbih - the advisor, Rahimahullaah - said regarding them:

"Do you not see...that I lived at the beginning times of (this legislation of) Islaam and I swear by Allaah that the Khawaarij did not have a group except that Allaah divided them because of their evil condition. Not one of the Khawaarij came out with this opinion except that Allaah struck his neck, and none of the Ummah ever gathered together under one man from the Khawaarij." ['Tareekh Damishq,' 'Tahdeeb al-Kamal' and Seera 'alaam an-Nubala]

Subhan-Allaah!!!

Oh brothers, Ibn Munabbih lived in the first century and - amazingly - he mentioned this speech?!!

He was born in the year 34 A.H. and died in 114 A.H.

Do you not see from his speech that which is appropriate for our circumstances today?

In our times, the (evil group) of 'Juhaymaan' rebelled in the Masjid al-Haraam in the year 1400 A.H., and Allaah Ta'ala severed and divided it up due to it being an evil group.

The 'al-Qaida' organization rebelled and they disunited into sects and parties, and the necks of their leaders were struck one after the other, and they never gathered together under one man from amongst them, let alone the whole Ummah gathering under one individual from among them.

What confirms the speech of Ibn Munabbih is what Ibn Taymeeyah - Rahimahullaah - said:

"The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ordered to fight against those who fight for a corrupt Deen from Ahl-ul-Bid'ah, like the Khawaarij. And the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ordered to have patience with the oppression of the leaders, and prohibited fighting against them and rebelling against them, and this is why perhaps Allaah made it possible for many of the oppressive kings to have power for long periods. As for the foretold liars, then their power does not last for long. Rather, it is a must that they are destroyed since their corruption is general in the Deen, worldly life and in the Hereafter.

Allaah, Ta'aala, said:

And if he (Muhammad) had forged a false saying concerning Us (Allaah), We surely should have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might), and then certainly should have cut off his life artery (Aorta). (Al-Haqqah, ayah 44-46)

Allaah, Ta'aala, said:

أَمْ يَ‍‍قُ‍‍ول‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌افْتَ‍رَ‌ى‌ عَلَى‌ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ كَذِبا‌‌ ً‌ فَإِنْ يَشَأِ‌ ‌ال‍‍لَّهُ يَ‍‍خْ‍‍تِمْ عَلَى‌ قَ‍‍لْبِكَ

Or say they: "He has invented a lie against Allaah?" If Allaah willed, He could have sealed your heart (so that you forget all that you know of the Qur`aan)... (Ash-Shoora, ayah 24)

So Allaah mentions that even on a supposition of a lie, it is a must that Allaah punishes the one who lied against Him." [Fataawa` 14/269]

Oh Muslims: The Khawaarij corrupt the Deen and the Dunyaa (Worldly life) if they come into power and rule any country, because they are a people who follow desires and differ amongst themselves.

Ibn Munabbih said about them: "If Allaah had given the Khawaarij strength in their opinion, the world would have become corrupt and the highways would have been cut off, Hajj to the House of Allaah - the Haraam - would have stopped."

Do you not see today - oh Muslims - that the Khawaarij have caused corruption in the Dunyaa upon the peace of the people in their cities, their villages and their countries. The people have been caused to abandon their homes. Did the Khawaarij not cause the highways to be cut off and the elimination of security? Do you not see how the Khawaarij have deprived the Muslims of their Deen? They cut off the means to the Hajj and the 'Umrah due to causing the Muslims to abandon their homes and the loss and dwindling of their wealth.

Were you not around at the time when the (evil group) of 'Juhayman' caused a rebellion in the Masjid Al-Haraam? At that time, they caused the prayer to be cancelled, and prevented the Adhaan (call to prayer) to be raised from the Masjid al-Haraam at that time, for the period of fifteen days!

It is as if Ibn Munabbih - Rahimahullaah - 1,335 years ago (was) witnessing what we are going through today.

The condition of the Khawaarij now is the same as when Abu Sa'eed al-Qarmati attacked the Bait al-Haraam during the Hajj in the year 317 A.H., and many of those performing Hajj were slaughtered around the place of making Tawaaf, and they were thrown into the well of Zam-Zam.

Oh beloved for the sake of Allaah! Indeed the issue of the Khawaarij did not scare those in the first generation of the Ummah and its noble ones. Here we have 'Ali bin Abi Taalib - RadiAllaahu 'anhu, the fourth rightly-guided Khaleefa who is higher in status than Ibn Munabbih and Ibn Taymeeyah and more noble - and he said describing the Khawaarij:

"They are neither Qurraa (i.e. reciters of the Qur`aan who follow it as it should be followed) nor are they a people of astute understanding in the religion. Neither are they scholars in the (science) of explanation of the Qur`aan nor are they worthy of this affair (of rulership) due to being foremost in Islaam. By Allaah! If they were to be placed in charge over your affairs, they would (perpetrate) the deeds of Caesar and Heraclius amongst you!"

Oh beloved for the sake of Allaah!

Here we have the Khawaarij of today 'ISIS', and their group is doing to the people of Islaam what the Jews are doing to the Muslims from killing them and expelling them.

However, the people of Islaam should be calm and composed for their ownselves from these Khawaarij, since all they do is overpower and deceive from time to time or that they capture certain areas. Therefore, their status does not last for very long, since indeed the one who is higher in status and more noble than 'Ali bin Abi Taalib - our Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) - informed his Ummah so that they can be calm and tranquil.

Narrated by Ibn 'Umar - RadiAllaahu 'anhumma - that the Messenger of Allaah (صلى الله عليه وسلم)  said:

يَنْشَأُ نَشْءٌ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ لاَ يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ كُلَّمَا خَرَجَ قَرْنٌ قُطِعَ

"There will emerge some youth who will read the Qur`aan, but it will not go beyond their throats. Every time a group of them will rebel, they will be cut down."

Ibn 'Umar - RadiAllaahu 'anhumma - said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah

"Every time a group of them will rebel, they will be cut down." - I heard him say this more than twenty times - "until the Dajjal appears in their ranks." [Recorded by Ahmad (2/84), Ibn Majah (179), and declared Hasan by Albaanee]

Al-Albaanee said: "regarding the wording 'appears in their ranks' means a large army." This is what Sindi said.

The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) described and characterized for us the Khawaarij generally, and this description is applicable to 'ISIS' today, and it is as if this speech was due to them.

The Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:

"There will be differences and sectarianism in my Ummah, and there will come a people who will amaze you and they will amaze their own selves. Those who kill them will be closer to Allaah than those killed. These people who will come will regard what they say as good but their actions would be evil. And they claim to call to Allaah but they - in reality - they have nothing from Allaah. If you meet them, then kill them."

The Companions said: "Oh Messenger of Allaah. Describe them for us."

He answered:

"Their sign would be that their heads will be shaven, and they will be extreme in removing hair." [Recorded by Hakim (2/147), and he authenticated it upon the conditions of Bukhaaree and Muslim]

So look oh brothers at the saying of the Prophet: "a people who will amaze you," of course they will amaze those who are deceived by them and who they deceive, and who love Fitnah (Trials and Tribulations) and follow them.

Look at the saying of the Prophet: "they are amazed with their own selves," and in truth 'ISIS' today have become amazed with their own selves when they took over areas in Syria where there is oil and agricultural areas in 'Iraaq, and took possession of war equipment, and their leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (falsely) announced an Islaamic Khilafah in Mosul and gave a Khutbah on Friday 6/9/1435 A.H.

We return to the priceless speech of Wahab bin Munabbih about the Khawarij and his advice to Dhi-Kholaan. He said:

"If Allaah had given the Khawaarij strength in their opinion...the matter of Islaam would have returned to Jahileeyah, so much so that the people would seek help from mountain peaks as they used to in Jahileeyah.

Then there would stand more than ten or twenty men and there would not be a single one from amongst them except that he would call for Khilaafah for himself. With every one of these men, there would be more than 10,000 people fighting each other. Each group would testify to the disbelief of the other group until a believing man would become fearful for his self, his religion, his blood, his family and his wealth, (and) he would not know which way to go, nor would he know whom he should be with."

- Do you not see that this speech addresses the 'Khawaarij' of today, like 'al-Qaida', 'ISIS', 'an-Nusrah' and other than them?

- Are not the Muslims in Syria and 'Iraaq today seeking aid in areas far from the fighting and wars and destruction?

- Do you not see that al-Qaida have separated - and an-Nusrah and ISIS - have separated from each other, and every leader has isolated himself with a group? Even in the time of Usama bin Laden there was division and separation away from him.

- Do you not see that after dividing up amongst themselves, they begin to make Takfeer of each other, and they fight against each other?

- Do you not see that the Muslims have become scared and frightened from these and those, not knowing with whom lies the truth from amongst them (when in fact, all the Khawaarij are upon misguidance and falsehood)?

Oh beloved for the sake of Allaah!!

It is not known in history that the Khawaarij ever had any victory! And it will never be the case!

Wahab bin Munabbih said regarding that and repeated it:

"And Allaah Ta'aala said:

Verily, We will indeed make victorious Our Messengers and those who believe (in Allaah, Tawheed) in this world's life and on the Day when the witnesses will stand forth, (i.e. Day of Resurrection). (Ghaafir, ayah 51)

So where do they stand from the point of view of these Ayaat? If they were believers, they would have been made victorious.

And He Ta'aala said:

And verily Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves - the Messengers - that they verily would be made triumphant. And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. (As-Saffat, ayah 171-173)

So if they were the soldiers of Allaah, they would have had victory in Islaam even if it was just once!

Allaah Ta'aala said:

And indeed We did send Messengers before you (oh Muhammad) to their own peoples. They came to them with clear proofs, then, We took vengeance on those who committed crimes (disbelief, setting partners in worship with Allaah, sins, etc.). And (as for) the believers, it was incumbent upon Us to help (them). (Ar-Room, ayah 47)

So if they were believers, they would have been made victorious."

May Allaah have mercy upon Wahab bin Munabbih.

Indeed the Khawaarij today - such as the ISIS, al-Qaida, an-Nusrah and also the Ikhwaan al-Muslimeen - are the descendants of the Khawaarij of the first generation of evil beliefs, those who make Takfeer of anyone who does not hold their opinions. Here we have Abu Shaamir Dhu-Kholaan who had become deceived by the Khawaarij of that time who were the Hurooreeyah and he was in Yemen living comfortably and had wealth, and they wrote to him a letter which mentions what was read to Wahab bin Munabih:

"They order me not to give Sadaqa (charity) except to those who hold their opinion, and not to seek forgiveness except for them."

- This is exactly what 'ISIS' do today in the areas that they have occupied in Syria. They request the people of villages to exit and evacuate and they put a condition upon them that they must repent from their Kufr (Disbelief) then return after that to their own lands as Muslims.

What type of Islaam is 'ISIS' and their likes calling to?

However, the Prophet judged upon them (the Khawaarij) with disbelief, due to them exiting the Deen of Allaah with their actions and false beliefs, and them spilling the blood of the innocent Muslims. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:

"They will exit (leave) Islaam as an arrow goes out of the game. Their faith will not go beyond their throats. So, wherever you find them, kill them, for whoever kills them shall have a reward on the Day of Resurrection." [Recorded by Bukhaaree and Muslim, and this wording is from Bukhaaree]

What is clearer and more appropriate with the judgment of Kufr upon them is the hadeeth of Abu Ghaalib from Abu Umamah who said:

شَرُّ قَتْلَى قُتِلُوا تَحْتَ أَدِيمِ السَّمَاءِ وَخَيْرُ قَتْلَى مَنْ قَتَلُوا كِلاَبُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ قَدْ كَانَ هَؤُلاَءِ مُسْلِمِينَ فَصَارُوا كُفَّارًا

"The most evil of killers who are killed under the sky - and those who are killed by them are the best of those killed - these people were Muslims and they became Kuffar (disbelievers)."

I asked: "Oh Abu Umamah, are you saying this of your own opinion, or is it something that you heard from the Messenger of Allaah (صلى الله عليه وسلم)?" He answered: "Rather, it is what I heard from the Messenger of Allaah (صلى الله عليه وسلم)." [Recorded by Ibn Majah (181), and declared Hasan by Al-Albaanee]

So for Allaah's sake, oh you youth of Islaam, do not be deceived with the Mariqeen Khawaarij (the type of Khawaarij who exit the Deen), from the ISIS, al-Qaida, an-Nusrah, and do not forget (the evil) Ikhwaan al-Muslimoon who grin to show their teeth!!

May Allaah's praise and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and all his companions.

- Allaah, The Most High, said (what means): And I (Allaah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone). (Adh-Dhariyat, ayah 56)
- Allaah, The Most High, said (what means): And whoever contradicts and opposes the Messenger (Muhammad, (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam)) after the right path has been shown clearly to him - and follows other than the believers' way - We shall keep him in the path he has chosen, and burn him in Hell - what an evil destination. (An-Nisa`, ayah 115)
- The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "Hold firmly to my Sunnah (example) and the Sunnah of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs after me. Hold onto it with your molar teeth. And beware of newly invented affairs, since every newly invented affair is a bid'ah, and every bid'ah is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire." [Ahmad (4/126), at-Tirmidhee (no. 2676), al-Haakim (1/96) and by al-Baghawee in Sharhus-Sunnah (1/105)]
- Prophet Muhammad (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) told his daughter Fatimah: "...I am a blessed Salaf for you." (Bukhari, Muslim)
- "Adhere to the narrations of the Salaf (the Prophet and Sahaaba), even if the people were to abandon you. And beware of the opinions of people, no matter how much they beautify it with speech." - Imaam al-Awzaa'ee [d. 157H, rahimahullaah]
- Abu Hanifah [d.150H, rahimahullaah] said: "Stick to the narrations and the way of the Salaf, and beware of newly invented matters, for all of it is innovation." [as-Suyooti]
- 'Abdullaah bin 'Umar (radiallaahu 'anhumma) said: "Every bid'ah (religious innovation) is misguidance, even if people think it is good." [Al-Lalikaii in Sharh Usul Itiqad Ahl Al-Sunnah wa Al-Jama'ah Vol 1. P134, no.111]
- Allaah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "I have left you upon clear proof, its night is like its day. No one deviates from it except one who is destroyed, and whoever lives (long) from amongst you will see great controversy. So stick to what you know from my Sunnah (his 'Aqeedah, Manhaj, manner of worship, character...) and the Sunnah of the rightly-guided caliphs after me. Cling to that with your molar teeth, and stick to obedience even if it is to an Abyssinian slave, since the believer is like the submissive camel - wherever he is led (with the Qur`aan and Sunnah), he follows." [Ahmad]
- Ahmad ibn Hanbal [d.241H, rahimahullaah] said: "The Fundamental Principles of the Sunnah with us are: Holding fast to what the Companions of the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) were upon. And taking them (and their way) as a model to be followed. And the abandonment of (religious) innovations, and every innovation is misguidance." [Usool as-Sunnah]
- Every issue of aqeedah (creed), 'ibaadah (worship) or manhaj (methodology) which the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah has not provided a text for - and upon which the Companions never agreed upon - is falsehood, vain and innovated.
