This week's two cases are related to new recent publications, the
images illustrating important issues.

The first is related to an article, which discusses how easily CMR can
differentiate between myocarditis and infarction in the acute setting -
http://bhavin.typepad.com/cardiac_lit/2005/10/differentiating.html. The
corresponding images -
http://bhavin.typepad.com/cardiac_images/2005/11/myocarditis_ver.html,
show how easy this is. This differentiation is also relatively easy in
the chronic setting.

The next is related to an article, which discusses how accurately CMR
can pick up the anatomic substrate in patients with inducible
tachycardia and identify patients at high-risk -

There is an accompanying case with one image showing scar with complex
mid-myocardial and epicardial and septal enhancement -
