I love CarCast and have been a Pro user for years. I've noticed that since Android 12, CarCast is not able to use Bluetooth AVRCP functionality. I'm using Android 12, security patch 8/1/2022.
I used to be able to tap the FFwd button on my Bluetooth speaker or car stereo to skip 30 seconds forward through commercials embedded in my podcasts, but now the phone is not responsive to those remote commands when using CarCast Pro and it does not skip forward.
I've verified that the AVRCP command set works with other audio player apps like VLC so I don't think it's a phone or Android issue. I've tried all the different versions of AVRCP (1.3, 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6) but none work with Carcast. I can still skip 30 seconds forward on my phone's screen but when I'm driving I need to hit the Fwd button on my car stereo for compliance with hands-free laws.
I know this is a very first-world problem but you've spoiled me with CarCast and I really miss it's defining feature so I thought I'd ask for your help to see if this functionality could be restored.
