Well, carcast hasnt changed in over 2 years...  I have a pixel 3 XL with the latest version of android, but I don't use the SD card.

The pixel doesnt have an sd card slot even.

You can try adding a letter to the "Location" then return to the home screen and see what Android tell's CarCast are legal starting directories.

Here I temporarily added "hh"

Then when you go to the Home screen you will see this,

This"Try one of" is the list of directories that Android says are ok directories to start with.

Now go back and try one of these, or restore the path without the "hh" in it.

It is not Car Cast. It is an android update.

I had to uninstall and reinstall.

I was able to get it set to the SD card but lost all files.

All is well now.

 

I used /sdcard/carcast.

It was /sdcard/carcast/podcast

 

 

I could use the phone memory now, I have more available.

There is a warning when you install and first open that is may not work with this version.

 

I started to panic because I and going on a long drive this weekend.
