Not sure why it picked that date! My CcCP homescreen icon has a red 1 on it but I see no notifications inside the app. How do I get rid of it?
Thanks
Gerard

The date is CarCast's version number.    CarCast has not been updated in a while!

I'm not sure why you are getting an icon with a red 1 on it.   Do you have a new phone?

I hate to say it, but have you tried powering your phone off and on again?    Can you send me a screenshot of your home screen?

Thanks

Thanks for the rapid response. Especially over the holidays!

The red 1 was showing for several days but now that we are talking about it,  it has disappeared. Must have heard us talking about it. ;-)

The phone was restarted several times over the last week. I'll keep an eye out for the problem reoccuring. Originally I though it was a reminder that I have one "audio note" recorded.  But the last one I recorded was back on Sept 25th. That's exactly 3 months. Co-incidence?

And now that I've exited CarCast after checking that, the 1 is back!   Ha!

Thanks,

Gerard

I dont think I've ever seen the counter on the icon before.    It must indicate the number of notifications for the app?      Anyway, the way CarCast works is if you have an audio note, it thinks this is something you should take care of sooner rather than later.... so it tries to tell you.     The lightbulb icon in the notification bar is also reminding you that you have at least one note.

I recommend you listen to the notes and then delete them.    Then this issue should go away.

Cheers

yeah, some launchers count notifications and drop it on the app icon.  I notice sometimes carcast thinks it's "playing" when it isn't really and then a notification shows.
