Car Cast: feedback 01-MAR-2017

Hello, 

Not sure if you are still updating car cast pro, but I have been using it for years. About a week ago my phone updated to Android 11.0 and now it will no longer download podcasts. It sees there are podcasts to download but it goes through all of them and downloads nothing. I checked the subscriptions and it shows it should work but again nothing download.

Any thoughts?

Unfortunately I'm not able to look into this right away...  Hopefully in the next few weeks I could update my phone and see if I see a similar issue...   Although yeah I haven't rebuilt car cast since 2017...  So you might be better suited with a more modern podcast program.

I moved to google podcasts but I can't believe how poor it is at... just managing and playing podcasts.  I miss my CC time.

I'm not really sure why a simple podcast player, such a hard thing to find in the market....   I guess all the other players succumb to the addition of feature after feature...   Which is probably something I would do if I had the resources...   But mostly I created car cast as an experiment and learning Android programming...  Kept it pretty lean in terms of what I wanted it to do...   I still use car cast all the time...  But I'm pretty much willing to put up with the shortcomings because I understand the trade-offs that were required.    

If anyone finds a simple easy to use podcast player which works better, please share what you're using.   

I thought about rewriting car cast using flutter...  That would be a lot of fun, but between family time and work time...  I haven't been able to carve anything out...   To be honest I just like to find a program that simple it works.
