Car Cast: feedback

Bob,

I just wanted to say how great I find Car Cast.

I bitterly regret not getting the pro version (even though that is even more outdated than the free one now).

Even though it no longer plays nicely with some Bluetooth car interfaces or with Android Auto, it still seems the best podcast player for downloaded casts.

If you ever get around to updating it, I am sure many loyal fans would be overjoyed and might even buy you a drink!

Thanks for your kind note.   I'm glad you enjoyed it.    Updating Carcast would be a lot of work, and require new skills for me...  So I do not see thanks Phoenix rising.

I can take a look this week maybe, see what we need to do.  I just put together a dumb little app to learn some modern compose ui since I need to learn it anyway for work.  Want me to make pulls against carcast source or should I fork it?

I thought flutter/dart was great stuff.

I recommend you fork.       I'd like to have carcast (or something like it), but I have no time to pour into that effort.
