This is perfect timing, Dan! My NanoVNA simply sat on a shelf for the
past year. And now I intend to use it to verify the impedance of freshly
terminated LMR200 and RG8X coax cables from a Wouxun and Elecraft inside
my shack out to their antennas.
My metric may qualify as the simplest of all NanoVNA measurements. With
a 50 ohm load, a dot on the 50 ohm resistive axis of the NanoVNA's Smith
Chart indicates good coax. It's OK if the dot's slightly smeared.
I look forward to learning more about the NanoVNA from other people at
the activity meeting.
Thank you, 73, Don, KB7RPU
I am interested in this.
