The Space Weather Prediction Center 27-day forecast shows the 10.7 cm flux index (SFI) will be 155, the planetary Ap index will be 5 and the Kp index will be less than 3.  This is unchanged from the prediction for last weekend, but down from recent highs.

10 m SSB was pretty active last weekend.  I felt that the busy EU DX contest led to reduced activity for the 10-10 SSB QSO party on Saturday.  The VT, MN and BC QSO parties were also hard to find/work due to EU DX.  The CW Sprint was blessed with good band conditions Saturday evening.

The CQ WW WPX RTTY contest starts Friday evening and goes for 48 hours.  Single ops are limited to 30 hours with breaks lasting over 60 minutes.  For single ops, this suggests 5 hours Friday evening, three 5-hour sessions on Saturday with breaks for lunch and supper and two 5-hour sessions on Sunday with a break for lunch.  The exchange is RST and serial number.

The 2-hour Asia Pacific CW Spring Sprint begins early Saturday morning.  Exchange is RST and serial number.

There is a SKCC CW WES that begins at midnight early Saturday and goes for 36 hours.

Starting at midnight early Saturday and going for 24 hours are: a) the KCJ (Japan) 160 m contest and b) The Dutch PACC CW/SSB contest.  The OMISS QSO” Party starts 3 hours later on Saturday and also goes for 24 hours.

There are K1USN CW SSTs on Friday afternoon and Sunday evening, ICWC CW MSTs on Monday (North America), and CWops CWTs on Wednesday and early Thursday mornings.

There are a few more activities listed on ContestCalendar.com.  For all these activities you will find abbreviated details, links to log submission information and the sponsor’s rules which you should always read as rules change from year to year.
