Picnic/Radio/Social Event - for all

When: Sunday, 7 September, 2025 at 1:00pm until, whenever we call it

Where: Rim Campground on Muddy Mnt 

            (directions and a link for map to the site, below)

What: Picnic, food, company, maybe even a fire to hang out around when things cool off and it gets dark. Bring radios, antennas, games, toys - whatever you'd like to enjoy (that's legal and fitting public use)

Everything is BYO - you want food, bring it. You want chairs, bring 'em. something to drink - yup, you guess it, bring that too. All that's there are places to park and pull through slots for a camper - if there's no one there already. There is water available at the nearby Lodgpole campground, but not where we're at Bring anything and everything!

Who: Anyone and everyone with an interest in radio, CARC or even just curious is welcome (that's you - that's why you're on this reflector, no?)

Why? Why not! 

This is an end of summer gathering, maybe a POTA/SOTA activation, if you want to do that. Basically, whatever you want to make of it. Bring a camper, pedal a bike - whatever you'd like. There are pull throughs, if available. Just note, if you plan to spend the night (there are tent places and camper pull throughs on a first come, first served basis), it's a $7.00 overnight fee per vehicle

WY-251 from WY-258 (SE WY Blvd)
Head south on WY-251 S toward W 50th St

Continue straight onto Muddy Mountain Rd
1.0 mi

Turn left
0.5 mi

Continue straight
2.1 mi

Turn right
0.7 mi

Turn left
0.3 mi

Turn left
Destination will be on the left
0.1 mi
