The NOAA SWPC forecast for this weekend is – SFI 140, A index 5, and K index 2 with the SFI increasing to 150 on Sunday. Conditions on 20 meters Wednesday afternoon were better than I expected.

The 10-10 International Summer SSB contest starts at 0000Z Saturday (Friday evening in North America) and ends 48 hours later. 10-10 members will be sending their name, member number, and state/province. Non-members use zero (0) as their member number.

The big deal this weekend is the North American CW QSO party (NAQP CW) that starts at 1800Z Saturday (around Noon) and ends 12 hours later. Single ops can only use 10 hours, but multi-ops can use the entire 12 hours. The exchange is name and state/province.

The ARRL 222 MHz and up distance contest starts at 1800Z Sunday and continues for 24 hours. The exchange is your 6-character Maidenhead grid square identifier.

The Hemus 2-meter band contest begins at 0600Z Sunday (around midnight in North America) and ends 8 hours later. The exchange is RS(T), serial number, and 6-character Maidenhead grid square identifier.
