I've continued to make plans for the special even station commemorating the 170^th anniversary of the rescue of the Willie and Martin handcart companies next month. I've reserved the 1X1 callsign W7M for the 16^th and 17^th of October (Friday and Saturday). Here's the website I've put together so far: https://sites.google.com/view/williemartinspecialevent/home

I've been in contact with the site leaders over the Wyoming Mormon Trails Historic Site (entrance to Martin's Cove), and they are happy to support us doing the special event station there. They said we are welcome to operate from the visitor's center, which means we will have immediate access to restrooms, electricity, and water. There is also a campground just a couple miles up the highway that we are welcome to use if folks want to camp out for the night (we'll see how the weather is...).

I hope to be able to spend at least Friday evening and all day Saturday operating. Are you still interested in participating? And are there other members of your club who are interested? I think this will be a lot of fun.
