Cross repeater

Is it true we have a repeater which receives on 70cm and transmits on 2m. Is this true and how can it be deployed for the Pony Express re-ride?

The club acquired a yaesu 8800 a few years back and it’s mounted in a pelican case with a battery (that’s probably dead meat now) for this specific purpose. Not sure where it is now.  They work really well for this. Pick two memories or VFOs turn it off. Turn it on with a “three finger salute” and it connects two frequencies.
