to Carbon
Hello Aaron,

I just stumbled over Carbon PS while searching for Powershellcode for my Script module(s). Reading the docs, it seems to be quite useful and I will certainly give it a try. Morevoer I found the Install-Msi and the environ, ent variable parts in Carbon, that I already have got implemented in a similar manner as part of a script module of mine.

My Script module intends to provide support for installing and uninstalling all sorts of programs on a windows system, not only MSI but as well custom setups (InnoSetups as a standardized version of a custom setup) and even installing programs out of ZIP or 7z archives with support for creating/removing shortcuts. For that the module implements a set of cmdlets, allowing me to install all of my windows programs on a new win10 automatically. This kind of automation is what I do on a professional base or about 20 years in IT business now, and implementing such with Powershell is not only fun, but allows to have the same automation at home that I implement with more sphisticated (and for sure more expensive) tools at work.

I now think about to publish the script module. However I would find it much more useful to add my code (in whatever form, does not have to be a script module) to an existing framework. I would want to make that open source though, and I am not sure if Carbon is open source. Furthermore, it's a question if you are interested in other people extending it. If so, I would be glad to send you more details and possibly discuss some implementation details, as the major part of the module is already useable, but it is still work in progress.

Please let me know what you think.

Regards, Christian
