to Carbon Dioxide Removal

Hello OCB friends! Building upon the OCB Marine Carbon Dioxide Removal September 2022 Workshop, the new mCDR working group is gearing up. After much anticipation we have organized the working group into six different regional nodes. This interest form is for people who would like to participate in the Gulf of Mexico regional node.

Why are we hosting regional nodes and why now?
OCB excels at building our community of scientists with deep expertise relevant for mCDR - let's do what we do best. While there are increasing numbers of virtual communities, they are often centered on commercialization and governance, sometimes lacking the science expertise and almost universally lacking an in-person dynamic.

Following the isolation of the pandemic, time to build our sense of connectedness back up!

First, we will host a virtual meeting to get to know each other and to share resources for our first in-person event in early 2024. We would love to know more about you and where your interests lie so we can best serve you at these meetings.

Node leaders: Z. George Xue (LSU) and  Laura Stieghorst (Básico)

I'm interested in the mCDR Gulf of Mexico Regional Node!
