With assistance from the Gemini platform, I spent a few hours building a Gulf of Mexico Dead Zone-centric technical basket that covers Biochar, Biorock, OTEC-like tech, municipal waste management, and offshore biomass farming within a largely self-replicating C negative simi-submersible infrastructure.

Image#2: I ran out of tokens before I could get the 38 nodes placed in the dead zone hotspots. However, CLEO is not limited to anoxic hotspots, they just help on the STEM, policy, and economic levels. As modeled, the CDR value is >1M tons of high value MRV utility and/or sequestration year.

Submerging the infrastructure is needed any where in the Gulf of Mexico...and roughly all other areas.

One benefit that I've stressed in the AI exchanges is that an intact infrastructure of this scale and complexity surfacing and showing up at a devastated port as soon as possible after the storm, providing water/ice, energy, an intact communications network etc is plauable.

Resting the bulk of the infrastructure below the heave wave depth is well within current marine engineering practices. I intend to be closely associated with civil rescue work.

Sculpting shallow sandy bottoms to create a breakwaters with trains of sand accumulators is technically possible, and may be easier for regulator bodies to deal with.

If a train of sand accumulators moved parallel to the beach, it is still a moving 'vessel'. 

The attached image is an ice crawler moving under the ice, just inverted it for a sand accumulator segment. And, reverse the screw drive rotation where the screw drives pump sand under the central membrane. Multiple segments running over the same path can quickly build a sizable sand bar.

It's a temporary sand bar yet still valuable as they would be so easy to be built.
