As you know the 5.0 release has slipped. Sorry. Several people are waiting to evaluate this.

Although this is my #1 background project, I have only managed to get about 1 or 2 days work a week in at the moment.

I have just checked the list of outstanding issues and I am still planning to address them all.  However when some CRAGgers tried to update their footprints recently, it became obvious that they really found the carbon stamp form very complicated and they complained that it was not intuitive of self explanatory.  I think this is more urgent than the features on the list http://drupal.org/project/issues/carbon because it is actually stopping people using the software.

So my current focus (yesterday) is to put javascript (using jQuery) to change all the text on the carbon stamp form when you switch between 'one off', meter reading, and daily repeating item.  Then test a 5.0 version and release it - hopefully by end of next week.

I cannot get yet give dates for getting through the list of features but I will size them and come back next week with more info.

David

I am not planning to do very much more with the 4.7 version.  I am going to upgrade my.carbonrationing.org.uk to Druapl 5 in the next couple of weeks.  I can merge 5.0 enhancements back into the 4.7 branch but I won't do this unless you were going to use it for www.carbonrationing.org.uk.

Hello John,

thank you for the feedback. Do you have any plans regarding timing for additional features for the carbon footprint module?

John,

Thank you for the update. The priorities you are setting to first satisfy existing users do make sense to me.

BTW: I also plan to upgrade to version 5 within the next couple of weeks.

Best regards
