Dana,

BB parted with Zockrabkies though reportedly is still riding her
Zockra in RAAM. Maybe she needs a carbent? It cant hurt to have the
fastest woman in the world ride one of your bikes?
I will send more money if you get her on the team.

I actually am a team bent up supporter. I just was thinking about
getting more class riders on Carbents for RAAM. No offense to sandy.
Barbara's title is based on her hour and 200m records. Sandy was as
advertised watching her work at Sebring. Watching her blog she is
definitely keeping her head in the preparations. I am sure she will
enjoy the added competition.

Barbara still has her Zockra bike which is what she is used to riding.  Her husband was part of the Zockra bike group and he and the other partner parted ways over who knows what.  I am sure she doesn't want to change bikes this late in the game. The way things are being written it sounded like Zockra dumped her and she doesn't have a bike to ride which is not the case.  The label of fastest woman in the world is pretty conditional to how long the race is and if much competition shows up which it never does as far as Battle Mt goes.  It has basically been the Tanya, Ellen and Barbara show since woman starting climbing in the shells and zooming down the road.  The difference between 200 meters or an hour and a RAAM are entirely different creatures.  The fastest solo RAAM woman in the world is Seanna Hogan, having completed the race with an average speed of 13.23 mph, in perspective John Schlitter owns the solo recumbent RAAM record at 11.3 mph.  Both Sandy and Tim have a better than average chance at maybe catching Johns time. To get to Seanna's average speed everything logistically and weather wise will have to be very perfect and the carbon gods will have to throw in some good luck on top of that.

No foul, Mike! But don't worry, with Carbent being the lightest
production recumbent, it's going to attract everyone eventually who
wants the best.

Now I thought the Carbent was a hand crafted bike. Production work is not
good enough for Dana the bike artist.
