We go everywhere together. The Raven is my number one go to bike. It's true I've collected a number of bikes over the years. Some are pretty special to me.
I owned a Lightning F40 which has a habit of setting course records (508 overall recumbent record, etc.). Then there is the Velokraft NoCom, which was built for speed without compromise, thus the name. I also have a BlueVelo Quest which cannot be beat on a flat roll. I also have a couple of all around performers like the Bacchetta Ti Aero, and the Barcroft Virginia, which have both won races and set records.
Still the Raven is my number one go to bike. I pulled the parts out of a cardboard box on the sidewalk in front of a Paris hotel and put it together. I
only needed to set the boom position properly. I took it on a short test ride to make sure I haven't forgotten something stupid. At that point I knew this bike will go the 1200Km, and it did without any issues.
I don't need to tell this crowd about how solid the feel of a one piece frame is, how sure footed it is on the unknown twisty descent, nor how nice it is to climb on such a lightweight machine. But, I think this is why the bike is the current RAAM solo recumbent record holder.
