I had a great time sandbagging the net and then checking in to say hi. Sounds like you guys have critical mass and I'd love to see if I can't link up.

For those of you who don't know me, hi from Matt KC4YLV! I've been on and off with the simplex guys here for a while and now that we've moved and settled a bit, i want to play more radio. I've always been intrigued by the mesh platforms, but there just didnt seem enough feasibility.

Anyways, i'm a pretty experienced solder nut, have some networking experience and am swift with a lot of things that might tie in, like Asterisk and so on. Love to see if we can collaborate a bit.

Access might actually be tricky here - Wheat Ridge kind of pokes up in between me and the north Denver crew, and I'm not so sure about shooting east. Regardless, I'd like to try to get something 25 feet up and give her a shot.

Looking forward to playing around with this some! I'll do what I can to be a net regular for the time being.

Forgot to add - if anybody wants to do LoS calcs, I'm at 9th and Sheridan in Lakewood. Can just barely see my yagi stack poking up from behind the tire shop :)

Doesn't look like anyone has replied to your post yet so I will by cutting and pasting a response I gave to another post that went unanswered.  We are still working on getting the first few nodes up and running, N0CFM and W9RIK to name a couple.  A lot of time right now is being spent on getting the club organized as a non-profit, legal protection, identifying locations for remote nodes at repeater sites, hospitals, and businesses and prioritizing where we need to fill in the blanks or white space between people who have the equipment already and have made a substantial investment monetarily, with time, resources, or all the above to make this network actually happen.  Communication should be getting better now that board members have been selected and foundation of the "club" is being completed and we aren't just a "group"  When possible try to get on the net meetings, or attend the monthly meetings if possible, location varies month to month depending on node installs and testing etc.  check this site and the calendar frequently for updates and what is going on.  If you want to get involved make sure your voice is heard either on the Thursday night nets or at one of the meetings.  It has been discussed that those who are actively involved i.e. attendees during nets, meetings and paying members are going to benefit more for a lack of better terms from the club. If your interested in getting set up, let us know when you have the equipment you want and if you need help with install or any information let us know or request help with the install, I haven't seen it yet but I've been told we have a request form for install help "antenna party"  anyway please join in and not just sandbag this is a great group of people we have that are more than willing to help and network.

Thanks for the note and sorry it took so long to respond.  We're gearing up to get some help from people that have skills like yours.  Still interested?

Keep forgetting I can't reply via email. Anyways yes, i'm still 100% on board and will pop in tonight to say hello. Extending a mast here to try to get whatever hardware I buy above the tire shop next door, and saving my pennies and nickels for a bullet and beam.

When i'm up you can expect lots of fun goofs from my node - i do a lot of networking and have played with the Allstar/Asterisk stuff a lot as well, and am well versed in voip and all sorts of streaming.

If we're really lucky I'll be able to put up things like a websdr or packet gateway as well. Excited to join up

KF0LF in Lakewood is now linked to the West Metro Fire Station Lakewood node.  Denny is running MeshChat.

Hello Jay,

Sorry for the long delay in getting back to you.  I have not seen the above mentioned call sign on the Net for awhile.  Is everything ok?
