A New Year is Coming

The end of 2018 is coming quickly and this will bring in more radio fun.  CARBBN has been pretty silent in 2018 for a few reason but with 2019 there will be more options of how we play radio.  CARBBN will be rescheduling the net for twice a month.  There will be other options to communicate with each other coming in January 2019.  Meaning that CARBBN will have a digital check in on DMR, C4FM, and D-Star.

In 2019 CARBBN would like to expand the radio options to include the following:

• D-Star
• DMR
• C4FM
• Paging
• Packet
• Mesh

CARBBN will be working with other clubs, businesses, and etc. to expand the network of radio devices.  These new changes will bring opportunity for those who would like to contribute a little.  Volunteers are needed for the following:

• Technology
• PIO
• General Labor for installations
• Inventory Management
• Social Media
• Operations

The above list is just a small start and should only be about 4-8 hours a month at the most.

Meetings will startup again in Jan. and will be once a month.  CARBBN is looking for guest speakers and if you know anyone that might be interested in speaking at a meeting please contact CARBBN at carbb...@gmail.com with information about the speaker.  The location of the meetings will be held at JAX or Porter Hospital until we can find a place to hold meetings regularly.
