So I have successfully loaded the AREDN software on the new Bullet. I can go to main AREDN screen on node but I don't have access to the (setup) button. It asks me for Authentication Required: and when I put my user name in and password I previously chose it doesn't give me access. What next? Default AREDN name and password doesn't work either.

Default is user:root (which I don't think you can change in the AREDN software) and passwd: HSMM (caps on) or hsmm (caps off, depending on certain conditions).... YMMV. At any rate if you didn't reset the pass word in AREDN then the default should be good.
I was playing around with the AirOS software and set user name and password in that software BUT reflashing to AREDN software resets everything to the default.
If worse comes to worse you can reset the AREDN software to original fresh flash state by 1) powering off the Bullet 2) hold down the reset button 3) power up the Bullet while holding the reset button and wait for the lights to start flashing before releasing the reset button. (about 10 seconds)
If the reset button is held down about 35 seconds the Bullet will go into a total reflash me state and you probably don't want that.

The Ubiquiti reset button’s function is based on how long it’s depressed when the node is already powered-on:
Hold for 5 seconds for a password reset and DHCP server reset
Hold for 15 seconds and the node will return to “just-flashed” condition
So your timing may vary... in playing with my Bullet I had slightly different timing.

I appreciate the help. I see the errors of my ways. I thought wen I set my new password I als set the new user name to my node name. I used (root) as user name and my new password and now have access. Thank you. My bullet came with absolutely no instructions so reset information is helpful in case I ever need to reset it. I can see a couple of nodes but NCAR is only node I can access mesh through. Will be playing around with antenna direction.
