Let's support NUMYFP's SMACK Forum this coming 25-28 May in Aldersgate College. It's a good opportunity to not only expose our youth to other similar-minded youth but also to empower them in our continuing work for Christ. Make sure to send at least one (1) youth leader from your church family!

Dear friends,

The United Methodist Youth Fellowship in the Philippines (UMYFP) will be sponsoring the 2nd SMACK Forum. What is it exactly?

SMACK stands for Student Methodist Active in Campus Kirk.  The SMACK Forum will be held on May 25-28, 2011 at the Aldersgate College, Nueva Vizcaya. (If you don't know where that is, just take a look at the attached Direction Map.)

If your church comes from a Methodist or Wesleyan background, we can reaffirm our roots from the campus (Remember that John and Charles Wesley plus a couple of other guys started hanging out at Oxford University and people eventually called them Methodists). The SMACK Forum aims to gather student leaders from different campuses for a time to exchange and learn ideas and strategies in reaching out to the campus.

 

SMACK is a biennial event of the National UMYFP. This year, SMACK will be inviting other Christian denominations, especially with Wesleyan Heritage, to expand our links and networks.

 

Registration is PhP 852.00, inclusive of training materials, accommodation, food, and other onsite freebies.
