Car wash fund raising group

Dear spys.int,

 

as a group we checked whether we know anyone who own a supermarket with a carpark, for the carwash activity. However, we do not know anyone. Would it be possible for us to check with the other groups?

 

On the other hand, a friend of Lorraine once did a car wash where they managed to get a water bowser for free. We are going to check whether she can contact this person again, should we do this activity in an open car park.

 

If we do the latter, we need to start checking out places. In order to do so, would you be able to issue a formal letter, which we can show when asking for permission? We have found out that if we do it in an open space, we need permission from the local council!

 

Since we are aiming to do the car wash on the 4th May, which is VERY close, we would really appreciate if this could be done asap. Also, can we start looking around anywhere, as soon as we have the letter?? Or do you have some restrictions perhaps?

so do you propose that we go and talk to Ta Xbiex local council? if so, can we have a letter from SPYS or is this a problem?

And are we free to find out about other car parks, and thus other possibilities?

Normally Ta' Xbiex Marina offer this possibility - and normally as well, the Black Pearl provides the water (or else you can always get buckets of sea water!) :P Unfortunately I don't have contacts there though.

We know one of the managers from GS Superstore (Naxxar) however now there they have a car wash already so he's not responsible for it really.
