Dear all,

first of all, we have applied for permission to do car wash in imsida area on 22 and 23rd June.

i wanted to inform u that unfortunately thye have extended my assignment deadlines and so i wont be able to come for the 2 days. i will only be able to make it on the 22nd morning :( ill try me best to finish off before and try to make it for longer, but since i have a lot of group assignments, it doesnt rly depend only on me. otherwise i wont be able to come to send off :/

Of course we understand the situation. Will we have shifts or should we be present for the whole days? (Personally I would rather not spend the whole days since I will have a friend over from Ecuador)

i think we should have shifts...hwoever if theres anyone who can stay a whole day, or a long time at least, its always better!! usually i stay whole days in these events but this time i can't.


was there any uopdates re. permission pls, as 22 june is approaching really fast, and we stilll have to advertise the event!

Am I mistaken, or did we have a document with names of volunteers who have confirmed their commitment to help out in the car wash?  If yes, can someone please send me the link?  If no, then we really need to get it going, including times available.  We're going to need serious man power, and I'd be a bit concerned committing - with Msida and on a poster - to a 2-day car wash unless we're first sure that we will in fact have enough man power.

I do not have a document, but I have the names. I am going to send them right now. 

a) I havent as yet contacted them or set up an event on facebook because we don't have the permission yet! Should we start advertising anyway? (p.s. its ok sheryl, i know its not ur fault or anything - i know ur waiting like us :) )

In my opinion, I think we should We should also start telling our family members and friends etc...not just formal advertising...

 b) I have also asked in SPYS volunteers if someone can make us a poster so we start spreading the words- however no one commented yet, and I don't know how to do one myself. Does anyone else from this group know how? Perhaps Shawn or Dave?


c) These are the names, who committed themselves on the 22...no one confirmed for the 23 yet. I got these confirmations from the poll created on FB

Re poster, I had created the attached for a previous car wash.  Some people told me it was messy.  Others liked.  I'd have no problem updating it and using it again.  Intom tafu!

One other thing.  I've left Sunday out for now, until we're sure we have manpower for it.

Thanks Shawn!  I have absolutely no idea.  What I do however know is that I have to agree, it would not be fun in the sun, and that is irrespective of any marketing that the Malta Tourism Authority might portray that Malta = fun in the sun!!!

Sheryl, what description should be used for the location?  Is there a bocci club, or a kazin there?

as regards pick up and drop off from agenzija zghazagh my dad is going to take care of that, as he has a pick up can(21st June pick up; 24th June drop off)

However on the date itself - Saturday 22nd- my dad cant promise me that he will come due to work!! any ideas how we can transport them from Balzan office and back?

Can we borrow a van from St. Pat's or something?
