No wax build-up on plastic or clear bra edge, good stuff

I bought this because it had the highest durability rating for car wax from Consumer Reports (CR). It's easy to apply (it does come with an applicator in the lid, not sure why the last reviewer didn't get one), and leaves a great shine. The hands-down best part is it doesn't leave the impossible-to-remove white residue on plastic/rubber like traditional wax does. It comes right off the clear bra edge leaving it invisible as it should be.
Only negative is it does require a fair amount of elbow grease to remove. You'll probably need 3 microfiber towels to do your car, 1 to remove the first thick layer of wax, a second to polish that, and third clean one to go over the entire car with at the end because you will find spots with an almost grease or oil like residue that you missed, but it comes right off. There is no dust when removed which is another plus. I'd guess you could get a dozen or so hand waxes out of this one container. Good stuff, I hope it holds up as it did for CR tests.

Love this Paste Wax!

I'm a fanatic about keeping my cars paint in perfect condition. Be sure to use "soft" MICROFIBER cloths when washing, drying and removing wax. Not all microfiber cloths are the same! It's clear that people who have a hard time removing the wax have used too much. Your paint must be prepped BEFORE waxing. Do this by first using a clay bar and a detailing liquid. (99 cent stores sell clay-like, gummy adhesives to hang posters on your wall. I buy several and roll them into a golf ball size. This is way less expensive than clay kits). Use the detailing liquid to keep the clay wet to slide over the paint using the same 12" pattern when appling the wax. I wipe of any residue and dry it to be absolutely clean. When you run your fingers over the paint, it should feel like "glass" BEFORE YOU WAX. TW Paste has UV protection, adds tremendous shine, lasts and lasts and DOESN'T LEAVE WHITE POWDERY RESIDUE IN CRACKS AND ON PLASTIC OR RUBBER. You won't need to use a toothbrush to get it out of cracks. And, you should use it on the plastic and rubber parts to protect those, too (just use it very sparingly). My cars always look showroom perfect without a lot of work. If you keep it up like the guy who waxes every 3 months, you'll be surprised at how little time it actually takes and how easy it is if you don't overdue the amount of wax you apply. I apply such a thin layer that I can barely see it when I apply it and I use a back and forth (not circular) motion in about 12" strokes methodically. I wax the whole car and then go back to start and it's dry enough for me to remove it. I fold the microfiber towel and keep turning it to different side and it seems to work well that way. Maybe it "dries" or something. Pay close attention to over lap and be sure the wax completely covers the paint so you don't see "streaks." Hope this helps. I recommend this wax. Turtle Wax Ice Paste Wax

I;ve used paste ICE on my truck whihc was purchased new n March 2007. I used to live in the northeast and I applied ICE to my truck every three months. Usually in March, again in late June, late August or mid September and a coat in late october or november if weather permitted. During winter months I ran through the self serve car wash and sprayed the truck down and rinsed on gone. ICE is amazing. Nothing sticks to it.
I have been living in FLorida for the past 18 months and have applied ICE every 4 months. Does a great job keeping the pollen and dirt off. I used the bluish green paste that came in a kit with an applicator and a microfibre towel that sold around $20 Today I couldn;t find it in the store but found Turtle Wax Ice Premium paste. It has an applicator no towel and comes in a can an is $8 cheaper. It's also a golden color and seems to be softer than the bluish green paste. I guess Turtle Wax changed the formula
Ice is a silicone wax, it is not a cleaner, so you must have a clean surface to work on if you expect great results. Every two years I clay my white truck and then reapply ICE. Today inctead of a clay bar I used a liguid gel clay sold by Weathertech. It;s a amazing. I used that applied some ICE and my truck is three shades whiter.
Ialso have a fiberglass cover on the back. My truck is as slick as glass and has a wet look mirror surface.
ICE and a little TLC has kept my 7 year old truck in showroom condition. People always approach me at the car wash asking me if I want to sell it. In fact a neighbor just bought a 2013 model of my truck for his daughter but called me a day before asking me if I wanted to sell my truck to him.
I hope this new formula I got today is as durable as the green paste, I wouldn't mind if it was a little easier to get off though. In humid conditions it takes a long time to dry and sometimes can be like wiping up toothpaste but I still love this wax over anything I have ever used.
