These are great pads
By J. White
I used this series of Meguiar's foam pads for the first time after using the twisted wool style for years. While I'll probably never totally give up the old, really like these foam pads. I did a very costly custom paint job on a street rod and used these pads to finish the paint - it turned out super slick. You do have to use these as well as the old twisted loop wool pads with care, but the foam pads will not burn through paint as quickly.
As far as another person's review, the product description says 'quick change system' - caveat emptor

Not as good as Griot's Garage pads
By NAW
These aren't bad and work well for polishing/waxing but I still prefer the ones from Griot's Garage. As you can see in the picture, the felt backing does not extend all the way to the edge so that little half inch of foam at the edge will crack and tear off (shortening the pad's life). My Griot's Garge pads have the backing going all the way to the edge so the foam pad is better supported at the edge. Granted with these you don't have to worry about the backing felt leaving any kind of mark on the paint if you are polishing a tricky spot. FYI I used these pads with a Porter Cable random orbital polisher.

Excellent product
By Gauda
I used this to buff a coat of wax off my car, and it worked perfectly. A good tip is to apply the wax with a foam pad on a buffer for a thin even coat. Doing it by hand usually leaves a heavier and harder to remove coat. It did not fly off the backing pad (Makita brand) and did a superb job. I imagine it will last a good while, as Meguiar's makes quality products. Also, a pleasent surprise is that this item is made in the USA.
