I would walk 500 miles...(which, if you're an O&M specialist, probably sounds more like a service tracker than a song lyric).
The California School for the Blind is seeking an Assessment Center TVI/O&M Teacher Specialist to join our statewide outreach team.
This position combines comprehensive assessment, consultation, professional development, statewide travel, and collaboration with an exceptional interdisciplinary team serving blind, low vision, and deafblind students throughout California.
You'll work with families, educators, and students from birth through age 22, helping answer some of the most important questions about access, learning, independence, and the Expanded Core Curriculum.
And while nobody chooses this field because they dream of becoming wildly wealthy... after walking 500 miles, at the top of the salary range you could probably stop at a few truck stops and pick up:
(Though I would generally recommend investing in retirement instead.)
Most importantly, you'll join a team of people who care deeply about students, families, and improving outcomes for blind and low vision learners across California.
And I would walk 500 more...
