Connecting Educators, Families, and Communities

At the California School for the Blind (CSB), we provide educational outreach services through the Statewide Outreach Services (SOS) and Education Resource Center (ERC). We are dedicated to providing no-cost consultation, assessment, training, and technical assistance to educational teams and families of blind and low-vision students throughout California.

Using the Johns Basic Reading Inventory 12th Edition in a Learning Media Assessment

CSB’s Assessment Center has launched a free, self-paced Google Classroom to support TSVIs in confidently using the Johns Basic Reading Inventory (12th Edition) as part of a Learning Media Assessment. Designed for both new and experienced practitioners, this resource walks through administration, scoring, interpretation, and report writing while supporting best practice and IDEA requirements.
