Adaptations Reopens Expanded Showcase Space
Adaptations is pleased to announce the reopening of the Showcase Space at 1155 Market St 10th floor, San Francisco, CA 94103.
As the only location in Northern California offering a comprehensive selection of tools, technology, and solutions for people who are blind or have low vision, Adaptations serves as both a retail store and a hands-on demonstration center. Based on customer feedback, the refreshed space provides more room to comfortably walk through the showroom, explore products, and compare solutions in-person.
Customers have consistently shared that they value having a welcoming environment where they can see, touch, test, and evaluate products before making a purchase. The expanded showroom complements the online shopping experience available through Adaptations.org and offers personalized guidance from knowledgeable staff.
Showcase Hours
- Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Personalized one-on-one shopping appointments are available.
What Customers Can Expect
Visitors can demo and compare products, receive personalized recommendations, and explore assistive technology in an audio immersive environment. Staff is available to answer questions, assist with product selection, and support purchasing needs.
BLV community members who are LightHouse clients may also consult with their Low Vision providers, and visit with Assistive Technology and Orientation & Mobility instructors to evaluate and demo products as part of their training and services.

Visitors can explore a wide variety of blindness and low vision products, including:
- Magnifiers, video magnifiers, and reading aids
- Folding, telescoping, and straight canes, along with cane tips
- Assistive technology including audio devices technology accessories
- Talking, Braille, and large-print watches and clocks
- Task lighting and low vision lamp
Purchasing Options
Select items are available for immediate in-store purchase, while additional products can be ordered through Adaptations.org and shipped directly to a customer’s home or picked up at either 1155 Market Street or the Sirkin Center at 2175 N Loop Rd, Alameda, CA 94502.
