Our readers have confirmed: they are, indeed, waiting for-freaking-ever to get some discs from Netflix. These include classic films, animated movies, television series, and new DVD releases. Is there some kind of nationwide DVD shortage, or is Netflix trying to strangle its DVD business?
If so my douchie friend from across the pond, you are a shill and you drive to my mothers house every 2 days a reset her unit so she can watch movies. I bought it for her because it was supposed to be simple and I relied on the WD name.
However, yesterday afternoon while I was at work my wife called and told me that the Instant Queue was no longer available. I told her to use the Wii instead and it worked fine. I performed the reset procedure I found here and got it working again.
im having this issue as well now. i wanted to know if everyone here has blu-ray added to their netflix accounts? i just added blu-ray and now im having this issue. looking forward to the firmware update. i have no other complaints except the long startup times when the wdtv starts up. its much longer than the normal wdtv live.
another thing for those of you who are havng probelms reaching the deactivate option within wdtv. make sure you start pushing the arrow sequence once the netflix window opens up and starts to load up the queue. u should see the circular progress indicator when you push the buttons. if it reaches the queue error screen you were too slow.
I called Apple support and the only thing they had to offer was to do a factory reset on both my iPad and iPhone. I'd rather not do that because it's a pain. Plus, how can it be a hardware problem when it's happening on BOTH of my devices? It sounds like a problem with my account on their end, but they had no idea.
I fixed it from another post: go into iTunes -> more -> downloads and look for stuck downloads there. It's non-obvious, but it's also not difficult. Delete all the downloads in progress in iTunes and then try downloading apps again.
I have this same problem but I have 588 mb storage left on my iphone and the app im trying to download is only like 88 mb. I try to download it and it shows up on me home screen but it is stuck on waiting and simply wont work. I have tried everything . Id shut down the app store and try to go to settings and usage and the app doesnt even show up there and i even reset my phone and still nothing please help.
I had the same problem, but now i solved it in my iphone 4s.First delete the waiting app by holding it and touching the delete(dont do it on app store). Next close all minimised app.next reboot ur phone .when its done then hold ur power button(till slide to power off appears)then hold home button till it disappears.now go to app store and download it.
Here is how I fixed this on my iPhone device. After I freed up some space(which was to no effect) I logged out of iTunes in Settings. After I logged out I clicked on the waiting apps and they all stopped waiting and refreshed back to normal. I hope this helps someone else.
The simplest solution to removing apps being in 'waiting' status is to just go to Apps on your iPhone, search for the app that is showing waiting, click on it, you will see a blue dot at the right side of that very app, click on it to postpone its update process in background, now go back to the menu and you will then see the app is not in the waiting mode any longer.... ?
I have seen the many and good replies. For me, the simple iPad restart did the trick. The icons changed from waiting to simply being "greyed out" except for the ones that shifted to downloading mode and showping visual progress In pie graph format.
In my case, since I was setting up a new iPad to "match" an existing iPad using iCloud backup, there were also a huge amount of photos being brought in via iCloud photos. As advised by an Apple setup person in store, keep in mind those photo downloads could be competing for download bandwidth with app update data to the device as well.
I tried to all the log out and restart combinations. None worked for me. What finally worked after I restarted I went to the "updates" section on the phone. Several apps were set to download but none were moving. I clicked on one and it started downloading. I clicked on another, then another. Once two or there were downloading I clicked download all and they just kept going by themselves. Good luck.
Me again - sorry folks, I was too quick - the download process certainly worked but afterwards still the app would not open - back to square one. FYI, I have a new iPad and am simply trying to load all the apps from the old one onto it. Most have loaded, but about six have not, all showing the grey overcast on the icon, refusing to either open or delate.
Tell me, exactly where are you going into, when you say "itunes>more>downloads"...I'm not sure where you're talking about....and, do I have to do this on my ipad, as well, or do I just do it on the laptop...
Launch the iTunes app. Go to the downloads tab. See if there is something in there that didn't finish downloading. Tap on it to try to resume the download - or swipe across the progress bar in order to bring up the red delete button.
Im having the same issue. just activated an iPhone 4s on Sprint. did several hard resets. Apple told me it was because i didnt register it through my main computer via itunes-which made sense. so i did that, and the issue still persists intermittedly. I'm a Sprint tech, and one of my customers who just upgrade to the 4s yesterday is having the same issue.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
I'm about to cancel my Netflix account and I'd like to be able to keep the list of movies in my queue. Is there an easy way to export the list in plain text so I don't have to resort to printing it out?
After failing at the above suggestions several times, I just opened my Netflix RSS, went to File/Save As. it defaulted to .xml and saved it to the desktop. Then I opened it up in Excel. Got a lovely little spreadsheet that was ready to edit, sort, and delete unneeded columns. The entire 375 item queue was available in seconds.
I opened Internet Explorer 9, logged into Netflix, went to my queue, and right clicked the page. There was an option to "Export to Microsoft Excel" which when clicked opens Excel. Copy the address of the Netflix queue you would like to save, paste in Excel "address" bar, and click "Go."Go ahead and click "Import" and wait for Excel to import the data. Once finished, click "OK" on the Import Data window to import into the existing sheet, then delete any unnecessary rows and columns.
Because of the missing rss feature I also had to make use of jQuery. The following snippets run on the "My Activity" page return 3 newline separated lists which can be easily copied into a spreadsheet document. Nothing else than a browser with a javascript console should be needed.
The queue times for Diamond+ are ridiculous. Towards night it is so bad people have to switch to like EU to get games. Why don't you just allow us to queue with plats or something. I'm forced to wait for a long time to just get a game how is this game going to be fun for me after a while. Do something please. Last night i was queuing for diamond and after 10-15 minutes i didn't get past 20 people, so i got off for the night. That should not have to happen, stop playing because the queue times are so bad for a game that broke the player record?
What hasn't helped was the glitch where a good number of the players who got to Plat first who play a lot just carried on getting into gold/silver lobbies to progress past Plat, through Diamond and into Apex Pred. Means that anyone who didn't know about the glitch or didn't want to use it are now sat in a queue of 18 players waiting for Plat games to pop for 10 minutes to only then have to go back and play regular Apex.
They should reset ranked and seed the brackets up to Diamond by some of the S1 results they collected so games actually start popping. It's not a perfect solution but it's better than people just not even bothering to queue for ranked anymore because they can't get a game.
It's a joke. I wish they would get bought out because they have no idea how to even fix this game. Long wait times and back when I was low gold they were putting me against people 200+ RP against me. Meanwhile I was in high gold getting Bronze 4's. [Removed - CM] is so stupid. About to just go back to overwatch because they are killing their game
From the way that PC players on here have been talking I think this has always been possible on PC but a week ago you could queue all night on xbox and not get into a game if there weren't people available at your league. Now on xbox it seems that after queueing for about 12 minutes it will fill your lobby with literally anyone who is available.
Queueing last night and just decided to sit there until a game popped or until I had to put netflix on my laptop to deal with the boredom and eventually a game popped, despite the counter never moving from 17 players. It went from 17 to instantly full. I'm Plat, my team mates were gold and the champ squad were all bronze players.
