Master is a 2021 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. It was produced by S. Xavier Britto, under his maiden production house, XB Film Creators, and co-produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy, under Seven Screen Studio.[3] It stars Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Arjun Das, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Gouri G. Kishan and others play supporting roles. In the film, J.D. (Vijay) is an alcoholic professor, who takes a three-month teaching job in a juvenile home and clashes with a ruthless gangster named Bhavani (Vijay Sethupathi), who uses the children as the scapegoat for his criminal activities.
Heartbroken, J.D. clobbers Bhavani's goons who had been dispatched to kill him and calls Bhavani, promising to make him pay for the boys' deaths. Having quit drinking, J.D. slowly gains control over the institution and begins to reform the inmates. His actions are opposed by Das, an older inmate (found to be an adult) responsible for controlling the younger children. With the assistance of a young inmate, Undiyal, J.D. discovers that Bhavani regularly makes the inmates take the blame for his crimes. He records the video of the younger inmates including Undiyal, speaking about Das's crimes in the facility. Bhavani's goons target Charu and retrieve the video from her, sparing her only because of Undiyal's intervention. Undiyal reveals that select inmates are tattooed with the Tamil letter 'ப' (Pa), which allows unrestricted access to free food and drugs from Bhavani's associates in exchange for surrendering for his crimes.
Behindwoods gave 3 out of 5 stars and wrote "Master scores well as a perfect commercial film that will satisfy Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi and Lokesh fans."[238] Film critic Shubham Kulkarni of Koimoi gave 3 out of 5 stars and wrote "Master is not the best or most perfect, but it is a entertaining. You will have to have a suspension of disbelief, but then once Vijays begin the action, they sell it in the package."[239] Karthik Keramalu of The Quint gave 2 out of 5 stars and opined that "Master wouldn't have become a drastically different movie, if the film lack a few illogical elements. Maybe, if the entire film had been about Bhavani alone, it would have been fun!"[240] Baradwaj Rangan of Film Companion South wrote "There's one part of us waiting to see 'A Lokesh Kanagaraj Film'. There's another part of us waiting for 'A Vijay Entertainer'. The film is a not-bad balance."[241] Anna Smith of Deadline Hollywood wrote "Master may deliver its lessons with a heavy hand, but it's got the charisma to see you through."[242] Ananda Vikatan rated the film 43 out of 100.[243]
I am a polearm master fighter level 5 (just got the first extra attack :) ) and here is what I am wondering: is the bonus attack action provided by the polearm master feat (the pummel strike) applicable to all my attacks or only once per round? Also, can I use that bonus action when an enemy causes an opportunity attack by entering my reach since the opportunity attack is a reaction rather than an action?
I am wondering this because based on description of bonus action, you can only have one bonus action per round, however looking at the polearm master feat description I can take the pummel strike bonus when I take the attack action with a glaive, halberd or quarterstaff which I can now do multiple times a turn (extra attack, possible attack of opportunity and even the use of action surge which means possibly 4 attacks in 1 round). So the description of bonus action does not take into consideration the possibility of having multiple actions per turn (aka 1 bonus action for 1 action vs 1 bonus action per turn) AND the feat description describe the pummel strike as applicable when I take the attack action but again does not touch upon the possibility of having multiple attacks per turn.
Also, as a disclaimer, I am at work and do not have the PHB in front of me. Both description of bonus action and polearm master feat are found on the web, which means they might be missing some description (no way for me to check if the description I am reading are an exact copy of the published material).
TLDR: as a fighter level 5 using a halberd with the polearm master feat that will now consistently have more than 1 attack per round, how many times per round can I use the pummel strike bonus attack featured in the polearm master feat?
EDIT: Thanks for the responses, my understanding of the attack vs action was skewed and thought every attacks was a different actions instead of all possible attacks (aka extra attacks) being part of 1 full attack action. :)
EDIT 2: How about action surge tho? Considering its description is take on additional *action* on top of the regular action and possible bonus action. Could I use the pummel strike a second time then?
With its active, participatory, and democratic nature, which focuses on change and transformation, action research (AR) stands out as an ideal research method for transformation processes. It aims to develop practical and pragmatic knowledge of action and generate new knowledge that will help us understand by changing transformation processes and patterns, to advance inquiry and bring immediate benefit to the field. mART aims to train leaders who can effectively manage the change and transformation processes that will inevitably be faced in the upcoming period.
mART, whose mission is defined as 'Contributing to social and institutional transformation by feeding from different disciplines', aims to meet the increasing number of transformational needs in the business world by considering action research as a transformation management tool. These transformations need new knowledge and a new type of leadership. These leaders need to construct change tools and mechanisms, along with producing vision, meaning and purpose. AR approaches and methods respond to this need.
Jasmonates (JAs) are plant hormones with essential roles in plant defense and development. The basic-helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor (TF) MYC2 has recently emerged as a master regulator of most aspects of the jasmonate (JA) signaling pathway in Arabidopsis. MYC2 coordinates JA-mediated defense responses by antagonistically regulating two different branches of the JA signaling pathway that determine resistance to pests and pathogens, respectively. MYC2 is required for induced systemic resistance (ISR) triggered by beneficial soil microbes while MYC2 function is targeted by pathogens during effector-mediated suppression of innate immunity in roots. Another notable function of MYC2 is the regulation of crosstalk between the signaling pathways of JA and those of other phytohormones such as abscisic acid (ABA), salicylic acid (SA), gibberellins (GAs), and auxin (IAA). MYC2 also regulates interactions between JA signaling and light, phytochrome signaling, and the circadian clock. MYC2 is involved in JA-regulated plant development, lateral and adventitious root formation, flowering time, and shade avoidance syndrome. Related bHLH TFs MYC3 and MYC4 also regulate both overlapping and distinct MYC2-regulated functions in Arabidopsis while MYC2 orthologs act as 'master switches' that regulate JA-mediated biosynthesis of secondary metabolites. Here, we briefly review recent studies that revealed mechanistic new insights into the mode of action of this versatile TF.
Grimlock soon found parts of his body inexplicably seizing up, and began to fear that he should have listened to the creepy dying robots after all. ...All This and Civil War 2 After returning to the Ark Grimlock used the Nucleon to repair all the damaged Autobots in the ship's medical bay (as well as Megatron, whom he didn't know was there). The Void! Following the Transformers' battle with Unicron, Grimlock froze up entirely. It was then that Hi-Q (in the process of merging with Optimus Prime) saw with "Powermaster eyes" that Grimlock wasn't malfunctioning, but changing. He used his Powermaster abilities to speed up the process and Grimlock burst forth in his new, more-powerful Action Master form. Still Life!
By planning out the entire process before initiating any tasks, you'll be certain that your efforts are maximized and will produce the results you expect. An effective leader will create a solid action plan that is squarely focused on the outcome of each task and howit contributes toward the achievement of the bigger goal.
Remember, the master action plan template is a tool, a guide that helps you to address the big questions before making a large investment of time and resources. Every week won't go perfectly. Life happens and you'llbe forced sometimes to deviate from, or adjust the plan. That's okay!
Since the feat refers to "attacks" and not "attack actions": yes, you can use one maneuver on every attack. So, if you're a level 5 fighter you can make two attacks using two maneuvers during one attack action.
Since Action Surge lets you take 2 attack actions, and Extra attack gives you two attacks whenever you take the attack action, it is 4 total attacks. You could use all 4 of your superiority dice on one turn if you wanted.
That is absolutely not true at all. Extra Attack affects any character who has it every time they take the Attack Action. If you have a 20th level Fighter, every time they take the Attack action they get 4 attacks. If they use Action Surge and use it to make the Attack Action then they would get another 4 attacks that same turn. If they use their second Action surge the next round, then they make another 8 Attacks.
