The hangar lease for Caprock Soaring Club expired in June 2023. The city is transitioning all leases to a standard yearly duration starting in January and ending in December.

 

The City Council needs to approve leases, they meet monthly on the evening of the 4^th Tuesday of each month. For the next City Council Agenda (October 23, 2023) Mr Grant will need to list our requests to:

 

·      continue to rent the hangar at the former rate on a monthly basis until the end of December,

·      and then we would like to request a 3 year lease at the current rate with an option to renew.

 

We can continue to operate in the hangar and wait for the City Council to approve a monthly rental rate and a new lease in December when we establish a new 3 year lease with options for renewal at the same rental rate. The City appreciates and supports the glider club and the visits from the USAF Academy Cadets.

I made arrangements this morning to hanger 29E at Plainview, and will retrieve my gear and move the plane when I get back next week. The Electric Billing Cycle  and service will end on the 25th, any perishable items need to be out of the refrigerator before then. I will reclaim my sunnydale water meter account next week and turn off the water while I’m there also.
