Ro has some great ideas!

I know we have several performance videos kicking around, perhaps we could give out a performance dvd.

Also, what about the most valuable thing Almiro can give?  His time?  What about a free capoeira or Brazilian music lesson?  What about a month membership?  What about a year membership for capoeira (for a higher donation of course).  Maybe even a lifetime membership at the highest level?

How about at the $25K or maybe even $50k or the like you get a guided trip to Salvador with Almiro!  Would easily be a huge profit even after trip expenses.

What about making some kind of plush toy or the like!?  Sounds corny but good for the kids.  For example a bluebird like the one on Almiro's new t-shirts and logos.

Just brainstorm thoughts,

I can donate handmade (by me) ceramic mugs with the BBAC logo. Also, I hope to be selling them soon at the BBAC! Price would be $20, so they could be included with whatever gift amount seems appropriate, $250? Maybe we could do cumulative gift packages, like all previous gifts included as the donation amount increases...

For example, for a $250 donation you would receive:
-Thx + smile from Almiro
-Email shout out
-Thank you card
-Team photo
-BBAC mug

I think maybe a T-shirt should be in there as either an option for $100 or $250, or the next one up.
Other ideas include:

-Other general swag like pens, paper pads, posters, stickers, buttons, pins, etc. with BBAC logo
-Capoeira songbook
-BBAC music CD or DVD of some sort (which we need to develop and start selling at the BBAC, as well!)
-Home cooked Brazilian meal (donations/volunteers, anyone!?!)
-Instruments (berimbau, pandeiro, agogo) made by Almiro
-Plaque with name and donation amount to be displayed at BBAC, on website, facebook, etc.

Come on folks, any other ideas????
:-)

Hello Capoeiristas,

I'm excited to announce that we're launching an Indiegogo campaign
very soon to raise money for the Bahia Brazil Art Center to purchase a
van to transport teachers to performances and to make classes more
accessible for children all over Portland.  We have a great campaign
video which is being finalized, but our offerings for rewards are kind
of weak... in fact I basically deleted most of them to see if you'd
have better ideas ;)

I'm writing all of you on this Capoeira Regional extended family list
for two reasons: (1) to see if you would like to donate an item or
service for one of the rewards. (2) to get your ideas, blessings, and
inspirations for our campaign and, more specifically, our rewards :

$1-10 = 'Cafezinho' level= ('Virtual') thank you and a smile from Almiro

25 = 'Carwash' level = Email shoutout

50 = 'Windshield wiper' level= Thank you card

100 = BFF level= 5x7 Team Photo Thank you

250 =

500 =

1,000 =

2,500 =

5,000 =

10,000 = BBAC performance (locally) 30 min-1 hr

25,000 = Your name or business name on the BBAC van and website as an
official sponsor.

Thank you in advance for your feedback,

<3 Batinah

When it comes to crowd funding campaigns, the most successful ones  build a perceived value. I like where you guys (Ro and Patrick) are going with this. Even if you're asking for donations, people will always ask themselves "What's in it for me?" to build value, the presence of Mestre will have to be felt. I love the guided tour idea or the private lessons. It will make donors feel special. Also, keep expanding on the message for why this project is so valuable for the community. Best of luck!
