You definitely don't want to miss this. . . food, music, Samba dancing.

Dear Friends -

As you may know, Sambart Entertainment is partnering with CapoeiraDC to host the first Afro-Brazilian Arts and Heritage Festival here in DC from June 6 to 12 (http://www.afrobrazilfest.com). The event will feature live music, dance, films, food, and more. I'm working with CapoeiraDC to put on the event free or low cost to the public. To make this a reality we need your help to raise money to cover some of the expenses of the artists we are bringing from Brazil. I am planning a fundraising party with food, drinks, and a lot of dancing with DJ Valney and WPFW DJ Tony Carr spinning the best Samba, Salsa, Forro and many other rhythms.

The party is tomorrow, Saturday, May 7 from 9pm-1am at the Carrilon House on 2500 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20007. A $20 donation at the door is suggested. If you can donate more do not be shy. Please come and help make this wonderful event a success.
