Subject: Toastmasters for Westridge Primary School
To: E.Gam...@delta.co.zw, jus...@gmail.com
Hello Gentlemen
I wasn't quite sure who to direct this e-mail to but I've been approached
today by the headmaster of Westridge Primary School in Belvedere, Mr Kanjee
(0772 105 795 westridg...@zol.co.zw ) following a referral by Jonah
Mungoshi.
They would like assistance with their grade 6 and 7 Toastmasters club for
one hour a week during an afternoon, possibly between 1:30 and 2:30pm. They
can arrange for it to be on a day that is most convenient for the person
concerned. Brenda Bell has been coaching the club but she has now taken on a
teaching job at St John's and she also helps with the Westridge High
School's club.
I thought this was something that Toastmasters can take on as one of its
projects perhaps by having a select team of individuals performing a
co-ordinated role so that one person does not have to commit to the task
every week. I am willing to be one of the members of that team but cannot
commit to doing it every week.
I advised him that I would get back to him after running this idea through
the local Toastmasters Area leadership. What are your thoughts? Is this
something you would like to take on or alternatively there may be an
individual experienced Toastmaster that is prepared to take on the role?
Their school office closes on Friday and reopens in the first week of next
term. It would be good if we can give them some indication by Friday,
otherwise it will have to wait until they reopen
Warm Regards
