Good morning Capital Club Members

Thank you for a great meeting yesterday. To follow on the discussion we had, please seriously start thinking about the new officers for the coming year.

Taking up office is a great opportunity to improve your leadership skills and contribute to the club.

There is a lot of support from Headquarters and you would also be supported by the outgoing Executive Committee (Exco).

Attached is a list of the Club Officer Roles to be filled and brief expectations of each.

Not ready to take the plunge yet? Then volunteer to shadow the Exco for the next two months.

The new officers will be elected in June and will assume office from July 1 2012.

Some words from 2011-2012 Division Governor Linda Lourens -

“I have learnt through my Toastmasters years that I only grow and better my skills when I do something ‘bigger’.

You now have the opportunity to nominate someone else but, even better, nominate yourself

Who knows better what you are capable of than yourself. Never underestimate your contribution, or allow others to put you down.

Expand your Toastmasters experience by taking a leap towards Leadership. This is the ideal opportunity for motivated people to show their willingness to learn.

Let us make Toastmasters proud of Division A again, let us grow not only in spirit, but also in membership.

Here’s to a successful and productive year together:

yourself, your neighbour and what you do.”

Regards
