Hello, North Carolina Sierra Club leaders!
Please join friends from across the state for a one day planning retreat to strategize our 2016 conservation campaign plans. Please note the new date: Saturday, March 5*, in the Greenville area.
Similar to last year, this meeting will allow us to draw on our collective ideas for tactics and timelines for 2016 in order to win on priority issues such as offshore drilling and coal ash. We have critical opportunities in front of us this year to make real progress and shift the tide in our favor, defeat dirty energy, and address the threat of climate change.
But we aren’t waiting until March 5 to get started. In order to bring everyone up to speed, we will be offering a few briefings and webinars before we all meet in person. Be on the lookout for RSVPs to online webinars on February 23rd and March 2nd.
On March 5th, we will be meeting at A Time for Science, a nature and science center about 30 minutes south of Greenville. The facility has hiking, paddling, and picnic areas to enjoy while we are there, so be sure to bring your gear!
And stay tuned for updates on places to stay, and when and where folks will gather for an optional dinner/networking evening.
Make your commitment today by filling out our RSVP form. And please share with your fellow excom and group members.
