Hi!  If any of you feel that you need a brief crash course on the Clean Power Plan, the Southeast Regional Coordinator of the U.S. Climate Action Network is giving one on Friday afternoons at 4 pm.  See below for the call-in info.  If any of you take advantage of this, I'd like to get your feedback as to how it went.

Subject: [SE-Climate&Energy] Invite: Friday, Oct 16th at 4 pm ET, Weekly Pre-Orientation for Advocates on Clean Power Plan

Hello advocates and allies,

USCAN is inviting advocates with *zero* or *little* knowledge of the Clean Power Plan regulation and its timeline to participate in an introductory orientation call this week.

The lack of basic knowledge on this rule prevents advocates, especially those working on equity and environmental justice issues, from fully participating in policy discussions and related stakeholder engagement processes.

For the time being and if you feel absolutely lost on the issue, I will be available every week to talk to any advocate(s) that calls into the conference line and provide them a brief crash course on the Clean Power Plan.

This call will not have a structured agenda nor a powerpoint presentation but it provides a space for an informal one-on-one or small group discussion with Q&As on the Clean Power Plan and the available resources. If no one calls into the call, I will hang up at the 20 minute mark, but will be there every week for advocates that need such an orientation.

Here are the details of the call:

WHAT: Weekly Pre-Orientation on Clean Power Plan for Advocates
WHEN: this Friday at 4 pm ET/1 noon PT
HOW: 877-366-0711, Access Code 856-29-444#

Many thanks and keep up your great work.

Regards,

Rudi Navarra
