Dear Local Friends of The Earth,

Last night I joined with over 1,000 people at a global climate crisis conference called OFF+ON in downtown Brooklyn.  Goals and strategies were outlined by activist leaders such as Bill McKibben and Naomi Klein. http://350.org/off-on-live/   In the year ahead, climate activists will link up with other justice movements for world-wide actions political and economic actions.  Momentum is building, with the Pope about to visit the United States and the United Nations continuing his call on behalf of the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor.  Then, the Paris climate summit agreement will be signed in early December.  Then a Presidential election year ramps up.  Renewable energy sources continue to become more widespread and affordable.  2015 will be the planet's hottest year ever - hottest May, June, and July.

Climate justice has never been more urgent or relevant.

All this work takes motivation, energy, and sustenance to push forward.  That said, ......
On Monday night, September 14th, at 7PM I will convene the first weekly gathering of earthpeace in the Interfaith Sanctuary at the College of Saint Rose.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/940718402653286/

These Monday night evenings will be for all of us who share a love and concern for The Earth.  Gather for some uplift through a brief time of ritual, reflection, and ceremony.  Gain some renewed motivation/inspiration.  Lessen any sense of despair, hopelessness, disempowerment and isolation by connecting in a time of eco-community - sacred and secular, interfaith or no-faith.  Network and share information.

It will be a work-in-progress and I welcome your participation, input, and support.  Thank you.  Ken
