This week, we’re calling about the related topic- fracked gas trucks.

Call Cuomo: No Fracked Gas Trucks
877-235-6537
Corporate utility National Grid aims to make our roads far less safe by proposing fleets of fracked gas trucks that
are so explosive, they’re often referred to as “bomb trucks”.
Earlier this year Governor Cuomo listened to tens of thousands of public comments and rejected the Williams NESE Pipeline, which would have brought fracked gas from
Pennsylvania into NYC through the Rockaways. But now, National Grid is pushing for a “Plan B” to the rejected Williams Pipeline, that would still bring more dirty fracked gas into
New York City by transporting liquified fracked gas (LNG) and compressed fracked gas(CNG) on trucks.
These trucks pose enormous safety risks to New Yorkers. Rollovers and accidents can be deadly, and cause explosions. The highly explosive
CNG trucks would travel to Long Island towns , and the volatile LNG trucks would be
destined for Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Both routes and forms of gas trucking endanger everyone on the roads.
Call Governor Cuomo at 877-235-6537 and tell him to stop National Grid’s proposal for fracked gas trucks.
P.S. Sign this petition to Mayor de Blasio calling on him to reject any LNG trucking which is currently illegal in NYC
