Subject: NGOCSW panels

Dear all,

With colleagues Dawn Beichner-Thomas (Illinois State University) and Sheetal Ranjan (Montclair State University), I am organizing four NGO CSW parallel events at CSW69 this year.  Attached are the flyers and bios.  Two are in person in NYC and two are virtual. You are welcome to attend all.  If others are organizing events we would like to hear about them too!

Some of you may not know that the Commission on the Status of Women´s annual session sparks a huge gathering of activists and researchers, nearly all of whom have an interest in GBV-VAWG.

I suggest you register in Whova, the platform that houses the NGOCSW parallel event program.   You will find over 700  civil society panels on Whova, half of which are virtual, half in person in New York City near the UN. There are also plenty of opportunities to network with other NGOCSW attendees.  There are already nearly 6,000 people registered on Whova.  That will probably going up to 10,000 or so.  Registering in Whova is a two step process and is free.  Details are on this page: https://ngocsw.org/ngocsw69/  You will also find other events of interest on the NGO CSW website.  This year is the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.

Information about the official meetings of the CSW is here.  https://www.unwomen.org/en/how-we-work/commission-on-the-status-of-women/csw69-2025 Most of this will be webcast on UN Web TV.

Thanks

Rosemary
